It was my sincere honor and privilege to join Zach Clinton, VP of the American Association of Christian Counselors, in this interview on the Care & Counsel Podcast to talk about two subjects that are near and dear to my heart: 1. Dads and daughters, and 2. Practical ways for Christian counselors to bring Jesus into therapy sessions (with their Christian clients, that is). I’m excited to share this phenomenal TEDx talk by Mr. Sam Beckworth titled, “What a Girl Needs from Her Dad.” I’ll always remember when Sam (a man I’d never met) contacted me and asked if I would be okay with him referencing my books, website, data, and resources in his upcoming talk in Southern California for TEDx. Of course I was honored and gave my full consent. Sam’s presentation is excellent and I encourage you to listen to it here. You’ll love the way he highlights the powerful and life-changing impact a dad has on his daughter’s health and well-being. Well done Sam!
My husband, Dr. Ken Canfield, and I were honored to be interviewed in our Fayetteville, Arkansas home by our dear friend Dr. Jackson Drumgoole for his Father’s Day special.
I absolutely loved being a guest on the Men in the Arena Podcast with Jim Ramos and Dale Culver. These guys are all about resourcing men to step up and be who God created them to be, which happens to fit with my passion and message as well. They creatively titled our conversation, “Tips to Becoming a Daughter Whisperer from the Dad Whisperer, Dr. Michelle Watson Canfield."
They later reposted our interview during their “best of” Summer Series after sharing with me that it had been one of their “most listened to podcasts,” adding that "every dad needs to hear this episode.”
